Shenzhen Library (North Branch) is a new high-tech landmark that has attracted much attention recently. Its simple and beautiful design with regular geometric lines is one of Shenzhen's new cultural landmarks.

The library is a white diamond-shaped structure during the day, which becomes three-dimensional, layered and dynamic under the sunlight. (It takes on a golden appearance at night.)

In such a simple-looking library, I never expected it to be so large and have such an amazing collection of books.

When I thought the Central Library in Hong Kong was big enough, I didn’t know that the Shenzhen Library North Branch is 7.5 times the size of the Hong Kong Central Library.😱

In addition to the thousands of books, the most fascinating thing is that the library provides 2,500 seats, so that people who love reading can really sit here and don't want to leave for a long time. In addition, what surprised me was that there were silent boxes next to some seats, providing a superb environment for students who need quiet reading.
(Seeing young students quietly reviewing makes me feel so youthful! 🥹My own student days did not allow me to have such happy resources! 🥹)

In this spacious library, the functional division is very comprehensive. There are multi-functional study rooms, comprehensive exhibition halls, humanities and technology exhibition halls, library expert research and other interactive spaces. (Some interactions require appointments!)

Shenzhen Library North Branch has self-service smart bookshelves and self-service areas, where books can be borrowed and returned at any time. (I saw some students coming to the library with suitcases to borrow books. They are book lovers who are admirable.)

Books are the most precious treasures in the age of electronic products. So we must cherish every place where there are books.

It is worth mentioning that the new Shenzhen Art Museum is right opposite the Shenzhen Library North Branch. You can read thousands of books and cultivate your artistic appreciation at the same time. It is a win-win situation.
