MOCAPE, an art and planning museum that completes the cultural district in Shenzhen

This approximately 80,000-square-meter building in the heart of Shenzhen is home to the Museum of Contemporary Art & Planning Exhibition (MOCAPE).

From the lobby on the ground floor, there are ramps and escalators leading up to the Plaza, which is the starting point for walking around to see various exhibitions. It consists of 2 parts: the Museum of Contemporary Art (MOCA) and the Planning Exhibition (Planning Exhibition or PE).

In the middle of the plaza, between the two exhibitions, is "The Cloud", a public area consisting of a cafe, a bookstore, and a souvenir shop. All functions on every floor of The Cloud are surrounded by curved, shiny silver surfaces, reflecting the images of the 2 exhibitions that tell different stories but can be combined under the same building, as the designer intended.
