Shenzhen | Nantou Ancient City CITYWALK

With two days off for the Dragon Boat Festival, I didn’t want to stay in Hong Kong 🇭🇰, so I decided to go on a quick getaway 🧳. Nanshan in Shenzhen turned out to be a great choice!

This time, I visited Nantou Ancient City in Nanshan, Shenzhen. It’s a historic city with over a thousand years of history. After revitalization and preservation efforts, it has become a place that combines food, history, and art all in one!

The ancient city isn’t very large, but it has preserved many old houses. Each house features a themed exhibition, such as introductions to old signboards, the history of Nantou Ancient City, the development of Chinese ceramics, and more. Inside, there are various exhibits with detailed explanations, making the visit truly enriching.

Additionally, the ancient city is home to many unique shops selling food and handicrafts. Some of these shops have particularly distinctive decorations, making them perfect spots for taking photos 📸 that turn out beautifully!
