Just like being in a Japanese ramen restaurant👹👺

#9月好地方2025

I'd seen online recommendations for a high-quality ramen restaurant in Shenzhen and had already bookmarked it. Last Saturday, we happened to be nearby, so our group of two opted for this place for dinner instead of a hot pot or barbecue dinner.

We arrived around 7:30 PM and didn't have to wait for a table. The restaurant's exterior is classic Japanese style, and the interior is similar to a typical ramen restaurant.

Upon entering, the staff gave us an order sheet to choose our broth, the type of noodles (three options: Tokyo-style curly noodles, Hakata-style thin noodles, and Mita-seki thick noodles), the desired softness of the ramen, the desired fattiness of the char siu, an appetizer (either seasoned bamboo shoots or corn), and a drink (original or sugar-free cola—only two options).

Since it was my first time there, I asked the staff about the differences between the three types of noodles, and the display was very clear. The staff also told us we could get two free refills. She suggested I try a half-order. As someone with a problem choosing, I definitely wanted to try all three different noodles. Finally, I asked the waiter to cook the first bowl of thin noodles in half. So, the photo I took shows a smaller bowl, while my friends had larger portions. 🤣 That's the standard.

The char siu—clearly grilled, with a charcoal aroma. I chose the fatty version, but it wasn't overly fatty, and the oily flavor was spot on.

The egg—a pleasant surprise upon biting into it—was a soft-boiled egg. It had a slight sweetness 😋 and was incredibly delicious 👍🏻

We bought a group meal for two, which included a side dish (four wagyu beef pan-fried dumplings). The dumplings were average, not overly beefy, and crispy.

Summary: The restaurant's ambiance and setting made me feel like I was at a ramen restaurant in Japan. The taste was authentic, a bowl of hot, high-quality ramen. I'd definitely go back for the soft-boiled egg and noodles 😁
