At Shenzhen Guomao Station's King Glory Plaza, the "Xi Hui Cui" bakery near the subway exit is always filled with enticing aromas. This bakery is a sweet stop on my daily commute, and among its many pastries, I'm most drawn to its elusive puffs. 😋😋🥳

With a gentle bite, the flaky crust crackles, revealing the cool, creamy filling. The crust possesses a unique, smoky texture, creating a beautiful contrast with the smooth cream—a perfect balance of firmness and fluff, like a symphony playing on my tongue.

Holding this warm dessert in the morning light, gazing at the layers of golden bread stacked in the glass case, the small joys of a Shenzhen morning quietly blossom within this smoky, chewy flavor.
