Hydrangea (Ajisai) season in Japan is a limited-time event in June.
June, being a rainy season, provides the perfect conditions for hydrangeas to thrive.
In Japan, hydrangeas can be seen not only at temples and tourist spots but also along the streets, making for a beautiful and picturesque sight.
At Shimoda Park, you can park at the aquarium's parking lot and take a walk around the park. The entire route takes about 2-3 hours. It is recommended to take the longer path, which is a slope and easier to walk. The shorter route involves stairs and can be quite tiring.
Once you reach the top, you'll be greeted by a stunning view of hydrangeas, making the trip absolutely worthwhile! 👍
