St. Michael's Cathedral - Qingdao German Architecture Group

St. Michael's Cathedral was designed by German architect Bilow
It is designed based on Gothic and Romanesque architectural styles
The church's floor plan is in the shape of a Latin 'cross'
There are two symmetrical and towering bell towers on both sides
The upper part of the towers houses four huge bronze bells
Above the main entrance is a large rose window
On both sides stand a 4.5-meter-high cross
It is incredibly magnificent and sacred
The main hall inside the church has an 18-meter-high ceiling, spacious and bright
Seven large chandeliers hang from the ceiling
There is an altar at the back, adorned with dome frescoes of holy images
It is considered solemn and beautiful
This is the largest Gothic building in the Qingdao area
It is also the only consecrated church in China
At the same time, it is a masterpiece of Christian architectural art
