If you're looking for a delicious brunch spot in Tokyo's Shinjuku area, make sure to visit CAFE AALIYA. Famous for its French toast, this café offers a truly unique taste experience. The soft and moist French toast melts in your mouth with every bite.
🍞 Signature Menu – French Toast
Recommended Toppings:
🍨 Vanilla Ice Cream
Place cold vanilla ice cream on warm French toast, and the contrast in temperature creates a delightful melting sensation in your mouth. The combination of sweetness and coolness is simply perfect.
🍏 Cinnamon Apple
For a slightly tangy and sweet flavor, try the cinnamon apple topping. The refreshing taste of apple and the aromatic flavor of cinnamon blend beautifully with the French toast, offering a unique and charming taste. The warm notes of cinnamon complement the softness of the French toast, creating a richer and deeper flavor.
🍯 Maple Sauce
Drizzle maple syrup generously over the French toast to enhance its flavor. The syrup adds not just sweetness but also a deep and nutty taste, elevating the dish to another level.
⏳ Waiting Time & Turnover
CAFE AALIYA is a popular spot, so expect some waiting time. I visited around 11 AM on a weekend and waited for about 30 minutes. Thanks to the quick turnover, the wait wasn't too long. Most customers finish their meals within 60 minutes, so tables become available relatively quickly. The French toast is so delicious that it disappears in no time!
🫧 Atmosphere
Located underground, the café has a cozy ambiance, though the tables are somewhat small and may feel a bit cramped. Despite this, it's a nice place to sit and enjoy your meal in a calm setting.
