🚶‍♀️2-day travel itinerary recommendation
DAY 1:
Morning: Shiping Ancient City Confucian Temple ➡️ Yuping Academy ➡️ Yuan Jiagu Former Residence (a culturally rich route, the old wooden doors in the academy are perfect for shooting ancient-style photos📸)
Afternoon: Cycling around Yilong Lake (rent a bike to circle the lake, the wooden boardwalk by the lake is stunning for photos! In the evening, be sure to watch the sunset from the west bank, where the pink dusk reflecting on the lake is super dreamy)

DAY 2:
Morning: Zhengying Village (a 600-year-old rustic village, the bluestone paths paired with earth-colored rammed earth walls are very photogenic)
Afternoon: Taste the Shiping Tofu Feast (must visit the old town’s Wang Ji Tofu Shop, their aged tofu and stinky tofu are amazing! Address: 23 Guanyinsi Street)

✔️ Shiping Tofu: Crispy outside and tender inside aged tofu served with special dipping sauce (recommended to try the small stalls in the vegetable market, more authentic than restaurants)
✔️ Cold Rice Rolls: The most authentic are from the mobile stall in front of the old cinema
✔️ Copper Pot Dishes: A steaming hot copper pot dish in winter is so comforting (the secret dipping sauce from the old brand copper pot shop is a perfect match)

💡 Practical Tips:
1. After arriving at Jianshui High-Speed Rail Station, carpooling takes 40 minutes to reach Shiping (30 RMB/person)
2. The ancient city mostly has stone slab roads, so comfortable flat shoes are recommended
3. From June to August, Yilong Lake has lotus flowers; in September, you can buy fresh lotus seed pods
