In addition to the three-section wall and the three-section wall cave, if you still have time, can you walk a little past, come to another Japanese🇯🇵 stunning scenery - Chiyoshiki
🌊 Name: Thousand Stack App
📍Address: Senjojiki, Shirahama-cho, Nishimuro-gun, Wakayama-ken
🚌Access: Take the Mingko Bus from JR Shirahama Station and get off at Chiyoshiki Station for 15 minutes. (Or walk over from the three-section wall, 3 minutes)
If you want to see more of nature's miraculous craftsmanship, you can walk from the three-section wall to Chigoshiki.
Chiyoshiki means as if there are “more than a thousand pieces of tatami stacked irregularly”. In this zone, the land is a wider area of rocky zone. The rock bed beach at Chiyoshiki was formed after the earthquake of 1792. The rock is made up of softer white sandstone.
Because it has been eroded by the waves for many years, this natural wonder has been formed.
Some locations will concentrate more sandstone, which is less high pressure, looser, and has sea-eroded caves of varying sizes.
The brown rocks are harder, but not too hard, so you may see someone engraved the Japanese word for "to this visit" on the rocks🪨, but you must not do that, because you will be fined and jailed, good tourists with their eyes!! ️
🛎️‼ ️ Every May 1/5 - 31/5, Chiyoshiki holds a "Sand Sculpture Festival" where participants will enjoy art works created with sand. If you happen to go in May, don't miss it!! ️🛎️
