There is a village registered as a UNESCO World Heritage Site in Gifu Prefecture, Japan. It is called Shirakawago, a village with a Gassho-zukuri roof. ;)
You can see the village covered in snow from mid-December to the end of February.
I visited Shirakawago through a Gifu bus tour!
I wanted to go up to the observatory, but I gave up due to the tour time and focused on sightseeing around the neighborhood (tour time 1 hour 45 minutes)
If I get a chance later, I want to go up to the observatory again
There was so much snow that the neighborhood itself felt like a fairy tale world
Seeing the snow piled up as high as me was on my bucket list, and I achieved it here (6-7, 11th photo📷)
The snow piled up on the roof was so pretty, and the fact that it was shaped like sushi because there was so much snow piled up was cute (9th photo📷) It was a place that was healing just by walking around. Just let me live here~~~🙏
The melted snow turned into water and flowed, and even that was so pretty (16-17th photo📷)
You can take a great picture no matter where you take it, so be sure to bring a spare battery and take a lot of pretty pictures😎
※I went there in early March, so the snow started to melt little by little
So sometimes the snow piled up on the roof falls,
Be careful of your head!
