**Unforgettable Summer Stay in Hida, Nagoya**

My recent summer trip to Hida, Nagoya, was nothing short of magical, despite the heat. This charming region is a must-visit for several reasons. First and foremost, if you’re a wagyu lover, Hida is a paradise, known for its exceptional quality that truly stands out.

As a peach enthusiast, I was thrilled to discover the fresh Hida peaches at the nearby morning market. They are a revelation—sweet, aromatic, and juicy, making each bite a delight at just 500 yen each, which is a steal compared to prices in Hong Kong. Every morning during my stay at the Hida Mercure, I would stroll to the market, basking in the sunshine while listening to the gentle stream and the cheerful chatter of locals shopping for fresh fruits, vegetables, and souvenirs.

One of the highlights was visiting Shirakawa, one of Japan's oldest villages. The lush greenery and serene landscapes in summer offered a refreshing contrast to its famous winter snow scenes. The ambiance was chill and beautiful, allowing for a perfect leisurely walk.

To my surprise, I was fortunate enough to catch a summer fireworks festival, adding an unexpected bonus to my trip.

I also enjoyed the hot springs at the top floor of the Mercure hotel. Who knew that soaking in a hot spring on a summer night could be so delightful? The cool breeze and starry sky made it an unforgettable experience.

Breakfast at the hotel was equally impressive, featuring a wide variety of high-quality Japanese and Western dishes.

If you're considering a trip to Nagoya, make sure to include Hida in your itinerary
