[Shizuoka Prefecture/Miho no Matsubara] The best spot for viewing Mt. Fuji

Miho no Matsubara is also known as the setting for the opening scene of the TV drama Abarenbou Shogun.

The 7km coastline has a spectacular view, and if the weather is good you can see the dynamic Mt. Fuji.

About 30,000 pine trees grow along the coast, making it a very picturesque place!

It's also a popular spot to watch the first sunrise of the year, and the majesty of the sun rising from across the sea is simply moving.
