I found this archaeological site and museum fascinating! The history of how it was discovered and of the village itself is interesting and the museum and recreated ruins tell a great story. The first floor and outdoor exhibit are free and include plenty of hands-on activities to immerse you in the Toro Village. The second floor and Fuji viewing platform have a small fee but the artifacts and the presentation of the information are well designed and informative if you are interested in learning. Bonus: they have free English audio-guide devices for both the second floor of the museum and the outdoor exhibit so even foreign travelers can learn! I really appreciated this feature.
