[Shizuoka] Sunpu Castle 🏯

Sunpu Castle is known as the castle where Tokugawa Ieyasu spent his later years.

It is now maintained as "Sunpu Castle Park" and is attractive for its beautiful stone walls, turrets, and spacious lawns.

In spring, the cherry blossoms bloom in full bloom, making it a popular cherry blossom viewing spot.

You can visit the inside of the Higashi-mikomon Gate and the Tatsumi Turret, and there are also many exhibits that give you a sense of history.

The park also has a bronze statue of Ieyasu and a shop where you can enjoy Shizuoka's specialty oden, so you can spend your time relaxing while strolling around.
