Angkor Wat is a place you can’t miss

Visiting Angkor Wat was an amazing experience. I highly recommend the sunrise tour to escape the heat & 2648595497226 tourists (not that it’s not touristy in the morning 😆).
Angkor Wat translates to a ‘city of temples’. Angkor means ‘city’ or ‘capital city’ in Khmer, the Cambodian language and Wat translates to ‘temple grounds’. As most of you already know, it is the largest religious monument in the world.
The temple walls are decorated with thousand of story telling reliefs. They represent important deities and figures in the Hindu and Buddhist religions along with key events. In recognition of the importance it played in both religions, UNESCO declared it a world heritage site in 1992.
There are 5 main ways to get around the temple complex. These include cycles, motorbikes, Tuk Tuk, tour bus and car. We hired a tuk Tuk and negotiated a rate of USD 15 per day. The entry fee of the temple grounds is priced at USD 37 for a single day pass.
