Have u heard about angkor Wat?

When u see the pics….the one that will blow in ur mind is PRAMBANAN TEMPLE….yeah….it looks alike but actually this is ANGKOR WAT TEMPLE

Where is it?it is located in siem riep,cambodia….It is one of the hindu-budhist temple in cambodia and the site measuring is around 163.6 hectars.

it is considered the largest religious structure in the world by Guinness World Records. Originally constructed in 1150 CE as a Hindu temple dedicated to the deity Vishnu, it was gradually transformed into a Buddhist temple towards the end of the century.

Angkor Wat was built at the behest of the Khmer king Suryavarman II in the early 12th century.the capital of the Khmer Empire, as his state temple and eventual mausoleum. Angkor Wat combines two basic plans of Khmer temple architecture: the temple-mountain and the later galleried temple. It is designed to represent Mount Meru, home of the devas in Hindu mythology and is surrounded by a moat more than 5 km (3.1 mi). Enclosed within an outer wall 3.6 kilometres (2.2 mi) long are three rectangular galleries, each raised above the next. At the centre of the temple stands a quincunx of towers. Unlike most Angkorian temples, Angkor Wat is oriented to the west with scholars divided as to the significance of this.

It’s just a bit of angkor wat but YOU HAVE TO BE THERE to see this amazing temple. At that time, i was going early in the morning to see the sunrise….i was picked up by the local guide in the hotel at around 4am….even i cant really see the sunrise, But I was really excited going to this temple as this one of my wishlist to be there

You can buy the ticket online so I booked it 1st one day before visiting the angkor Wat temple….it costs around 600 K IDR after the conversion froM USD. Just for ur information, everything in Cambodia use USD for the transaction
