🌅"You must visit Zhenjiang at least once—feel the evening breeze along the Yangtze River, stroll through the ancient streets of Xijindu, and experience the gentle poetry of this Jiangnan town." In July, under the blazing sun—the perfect season for travel—I set foot on this enchanting land and embarked on an unforgettable journey. Now, I’m sharing the ultimate July travel guide to Zhenjiang with you all👇
📅 Travel Time: July. Though the weather is hot, Zhenjiang’s summer has its own unique charm, especially the intoxicating river breeze in the evening. Just remember to take sun protection and heatstroke prevention measures!

🎈 Zhenjiang Museum: Free! Housed in the former British Consulate, the building itself is historic. The collection, from bronzeware to ceramics, offers deep insights into Zhenjiang’s culture.
🎈 Beigu Mountain: ¥40 entry. Famous for its Three Kingdoms lore, climb Beigu Tower to recite Xin Qiji’s poetry while gazing at the Yangtze. Ganlu Temple’s Three Kingdoms relics are also worth exploring.
🎈 Yangtze River Road Night Market: A feast for the senses—crab skewers, BBQ, stinky tofu, and more. Dive into Zhenjiang’s vibrant nightlife while indulging in local flavors.
🎈 Jinshan Temple: ¥45 entry. Legendary for the White Snake’s flood tale, the temple’s grand architecture and Cishou Pagoda offer stunning city and river views. Boat rides on the lake add extra fun.
🎈 Nanshan Scenic Area: Free! Dubbed "urban forest," its shaded paths and fresh air make it a summer retreat. The century-old ginkgo trees and bamboo groves are photo-perfect.
🎈 Xijindu at Night: Red lanterns illuminate the ancient streets, creating a magical atmosphere. Sip coffee or tea at a street-side shop and soak in the tranquility.
🏨 Accommodation:
Stay near Xijindu for convenience and charm. Options like Xijindu Scholar Hotel offer elegance and service, while Orange Hotel provides great value and cleanliness.
📌 Tips:
1. July heat is intense—pack sunscreen, hats, and sunglasses.
2. Book attraction tickets online to skip queues.
3. Try local specialties like pot-cover noodles, crab roe soup dumplings, and crystal pork, but pace yourself to avoid stomach issues.
4. Buses are convenient; download the "Easy Tour Zhenjiang" app for QR code payments.
🌆 These two days revealed Zhenjiang’s historical depth, natural beauty, and warm hospitality. Like a pearl polished by time, the city shines uniquely. If you seek an off-the-beaten-path gem, give Zhenjiang a chance.
