Angkor Wat - Siem Reap

The world famous Angkor Wat temple complex is a must-visit destination at least once in a traveler's life. Located in northern Cambodia several kilometres outside Siem Reap city, the temple complex sprawls through the Cambodian jungle.

An absolute must when visiting Siem Reap is watching the sunrise over Angkor Wat. If you're a photographer, make sure to get there EARLY to secure an unobstructed shot as there can be a large crowd.

There are many different temples to visit within the Angkor complex, each with their own unique characteristics. The most unique temples are:
- Angkor Wat
- Bayon Temple (famous for its gigantic faces)
- Ta Prohm Temple
- Pre Rup Temple
- Neak Poun Temple

With scorching temperatures, the best way to get around the area is by local tuk tuk. These can be easily organised through tour operators and hotels and your driver will drive you around for the whole day.
