Located 20 kilometers west of Zhuji City, the Wuxie Scenic Area, formerly known as the "Wuxie Scenic Area," is a scenic area. "Xie" means waterfall. The area consists of four scenic areas: Wuxie Lake, Taoyuan, Dongyuan, and Xiyuan Canyons.
Take a boat into Wuxie Lake, walk through the Taoyuan Scenic Area covered with green bamboo and wild flowers, and you will arrive at the most attractive Dongyuan Scenic Area in the scenic area, which is also the location of Wuxie. Climbing up the stairs, you will see five waterfalls folded into five levels and distributed in the mountains. The fifth fold is beautiful, the fourth fold is tortuous, the third fold is wide, the second fold is quiet, and the first fold is mini.
After passing the red maple forest, the canyon in Xiyuan Scenic Area is also worth seeing. The quiet and narrow canyon with gurgling water is the best place to escape the summer heat.
Wuxie's scenery varies with the season. In summer, the waterfalls are high, offering opportunities for water play. In autumn, the red leaves are beautiful, and in early winter, the ginkgo trees are beautiful. April and May are typically the peak season, especially during heavy rains, when the water level surges and the scenery becomes even more beautiful. This is the best time to visit.
