[Explore Singapore] Gardens of Your Dreams

If there’s one place I would recommend a tourist to visit in Singapore, it’s Gardens by the Bay, because it possesses everything we dream of.

Singapore is well known as a city in a garden, and it’s not just any garden, but a garden of the future. Singapore may not have the land mass (and time) to grow as many trees as we want in a garden, but good thing we have the talent to make things work, creating these futuristic Super Trees that are just as, if not more, productive than the trees themselves, and twice as impressive.

Tapping on solar power, these Super Trees mimic the way trees photosynthesise to generate energy, but this time, they feed the energy not just to the plants wrapped around them, but also the nearby conservatories. In addition, water is just as precious in Singapore and the Super Trees can also collect rainwater to use in the entire garden.

Before Jewel @ Changi was built, Cloud Forest was the one with the stunning indoor waterfall that captured everyone’s attention. As one of the world’s tallest indoor waterfalls, it was a magnificent sight to behold. Surrounded by beautiful greenery in cooling temperatures, it’s as though you’ve been transported to a different highland elsewhere in the world.

But it is Singapore, and even as we naturally don’t have much, once we set our mind on it, we go all out to impress.

Come visit Gardens by the Bay for a fascinating journey of discovery to find out what a tiny country like Singapore can do with limited resources.
