Arab Street, located near Bugis MRT Station, is more than just a historic and picturesque area — it’s also a rising café haven that blends culture, charm, and caffeine.
We started our stroll at Cantina, a cozy Mediterranean-inspired café tucked along the street. With boho-style interiors, warm ambiance, and a selection of vegetarian and vegan dishes, it’s the perfect place to unwind. A small merchandise corner adds a lifestyle touch to the experience.
Their Masala Chai was a standout — aromatic, spiced, and soul-warming, offering a peaceful break amidst the bustling street.
Just a few steps away, we made our way to the iconic % Arabica, strategically located at a corner lot facing the majestic Sultan Mosque. The café’s minimalist design, signature Slayer espresso machine, and world-famous “%” logo make it a favorite for coffee lovers and Instagrammers alike.
We ordered a hot black coffee, smooth and bold — a perfect contrast to our earlier chai stop. Though the queue was long, the service was fast and the coffee, worth the wait.
Arab Street offers more than just photo spots — it’s where culture meets café culture, perfect for a laid-back morning or relaxing afternoon in Singapore.
