The Dream Valley Scenic Area includes four major areas: Dream Culture Village, Hengdian Old Street, Jiangnan Water Village, and Water World. It has a large amusement park, a water world, large-scale performances, colorful lights and fireworks, and a variety of snacks and restaurants.
At Dream Culture Village, a giant windmill, "Turning the Sky," spins and tumbles 360 degrees at a height of nearly 20 meters. Other attractions include "Rock Row," "Happy Frog Jump," and "Liao Liao Castle." Hengdian Old Street, approximately 200 meters long, is paved with bluestone and gravel, with wooden buildings lining the street. Large red lanterns hang at the entrance of each shop, creating a true recreation of the old streets of Jiangnan towns from the 1940s and 1950s.
Stepping into the Jiangnan water towns, one can see the limestone arch bridges, smoke curling from homes, the aroma of wine from wine shops, and the melody of rice cakes pounding in the pastry shops. The customs and practices of Jiangnan's water towns from the late 19th century to the early 20th century are all within view. Not far away, a traditional Chinese music concert, "Remnants of Jiangnan," is underway.
