Traveling Singapore: A small country but packed with big fun!
Hello friends, today I want to share an informal story about my Singapore trip. It was a 4-day, 3-night trip. Let me tell you upfront, I planned everything myself in a bit of a confused way, but it worked out! I booked the tickets myself and found accommodation based on reviews. I heard Singapore is a country where beginners can travel on their own without getting lost, so I thought... why not give it a try!
Day 1: Arrived at Singapore, the land of perfection!
When I arrived at Changi Airport, I was like, “Is this an airport or an amusement park?”
There’s a mall, a waterfall, the air conditioning is cool, and it smells nice!
I was impressed even before leaving the airport.
After checking in at the hotel (a small cute hotel like a bento lunchbox),
I went to see the Merlion spouting water, a legendary spot you must take a photo with.
Walking along Marina Bay was amazing, the breeze was cool, and the view was very grand.
Looking at the MBS building felt like being in a Hollywood movie. In the evening, I sat watching the lights from the buildings, feeling like I was about to be proposed to, but actually, I was just lonely and emotional, haha.
Day 2: Gardens by the Bay with a light and sound show that kept shouting “Wow” all the time
Woke up early to explore Gardens by the Bay and saw the Supertree up close.
I was like... why would anyone plant trees this big?
It was spectacular, and every photo looked great.
Walking into the Flower Dome and Cloud Forest was not disappointing at all.
There were so many flowers like a secret garden from a fairy tale. The Cloud Forest was cool,
with a big waterfall in the middle of the dome. Taking photos felt like being in the movie Avatar (exaggerating again, haha).
In the evening, I watched the light and sound show at Supertree Grove, which was the best.
Classical music played loudly, the cool breeze blew, and the lights moved to the rhythm of the music.
It was a mix of sacred and slightly romantic vibes (even though I was watching with friends, no couple moments though!).
Day 3: Universal Studios Singapore, a day full of getting wet and screaming
Today I went to USS. I can say anyone can play here (but don’t forget to bring your voice to scream).
Started with the Battlestar Galactica roller coaster where you have to choose between the good side and the bad side. Oops, I chose wrong, the bad side was more intense! Screamed all over the island.
Then went to the Far Far Away zone and saw a castle like in the movie Shrek.
Rode a boat to watch a 4D cartoon, got splashed with water but still laughed.
Went to Jurassic Park and got wet again! It was a wild rafting ride but super fun.
Ended the day with sore legs from walking so much, but it was so fun I forgot about the pain.
Throughout the day, I didn’t miss out on food, bought a huge turkey leg to eat, almost dropped it with one bite, it was so heavy like holding a dinosaur leg for real.
Day 4: Shopping, chilling, and wanting to stay longer
On the last day, I went to Bugis Street, a super cute souvenir market with clothes,
keychains, food, snacks, fridge magnets, everything! The prices were so good for the heart. Bought souvenirs and stuffed my bag tight like playing Tetris.
Then stopped by Chinatown to pay respects at the Tooth Relic Temple.
The temple was very beautiful and peaceful, perfect for a soft ending to the trip before flying back to Thailand.
In short (but my heart doesn’t want to be short),
Singapore is an easy country to travel in, easy to explore, friendly people, delicious food, advanced technology, and most importantly... it’s adorable! Everything is well planned. Traveling by MRT is very convenient. No need to worry about getting lost because the signs are super clear.
For anyone who has never been abroad and is looking for a place to start, Singapore is truly the answer. You get fun, step out of your comfort zone, speak English a little awkwardly but still get understood, laugh with friends, and make great memories that don’t have to be expensive but are valuable.

If you’re hesitating whether to go or not,
I say... “Book your ticket and go for it!”
You’ll understand that a small city like Singapore
can really make your heart feel bigger ❤️
