Singapore City Hall District – Quietly Walking in the Heart of the City

Right in the middle of downtown,
somehow it was a place where my heart felt very calm.

Singapore’s City Hall District
is a neighborhood where the feeling of walking is better than the sights.
From afar, it looks bustling,
but as you take each step,
the city feels soft and leisurely.

**Padang** is a wide, flat grassy square.
People resting under the sunlight,
behind them, old-fashioned buildings stand quietly,
and for a moment, everything seemed to flow slowly.

As you cross the Esplanade Bridge,
the wind touches your face,
and the sunlight gently spreading over the water feels so warm.
Even without taking photos,
it’s a beautiful scene just to quietly watch.

At the end of the path, **Civic District Green** felt like
a hidden resting place within the city.
A spot where you can sit on the grass and drink coffee,
or just close your eyes for a moment and feel good.

“A trip where you don’t have to go anywhere in particular”—
this was exactly the kind of day here.
A place in the city that quietly lets me rest,
the parks and bridges near City Hall left such a lasting impression.
