Dropped by Tamoya Udon & Tempura the other day and honestly? Solid choice. It’s tucked away on the sixth floor of Plaza Singapura, next to Kopitiam, and even though it’s not super flashy, the food speaks for itself.
I had the Truffle Tonkotsu Udon, the noodles had that perfect chewy bounce. You can tell they’re handmade, and the onsen egg added that silky touch that just pulls everything together.
They’ve got a self-service setup, so you grab your tray, pick your tempura, and head to the counter. No service charge, which is a nice bonus.
Prices are pretty reasonable too—most mains are around $10–$13, and the portions are just right. There’s usually a bit of a queue during lunch and dinner, but it moves fast.
If you’re into udon or just want a quick, tasty Japanese meal without breaking the bank, Tamoya’s a great spot.
