Wanniantai, the centerpiece of Sanhe Town, is an ancient stage rebuilt on the site of a former opera. This approximately 2,000-square-meter cultural plaza can accommodate several thousand people for performances. Today, this cultural and leisure plaza features sixteen stone drums depicting the twelve zodiac animals and plum, orchid, bamboo, and chrysanthemum. Three traditional wedding receptions from Sanhe are also engraved on the plaza.
Sanhe originally had two Wannian Terraces. In addition to this one, there's another on South Street, now occupied by the Wannian Zen Temple. You can see two large pillars on either side of the terrace, symbolizing the everlasting life of Buddhism. During holidays and weekends, performances of Lu Opera, a local opera, are held at Wannian Terrace, attracting numerous visitors and creating a lively atmosphere.
