You can understand more about the fabric culture during the Peranakan people many decades ago. The nonya ladies have to be able to sew their own clothing and sew their own bead shoes to impress their future mother in law. They have also been able to cook delicious authentic Peranakan dishes as well. Here you can see how meticulous each of the threads are being sew of the clothing.
