💗Maxwell Food Centre in Singapore is popular among locals, with many stalls to choose from and affordable prices.
💗A well-known stall among Thai people is the Hainanese chicken rice stall called Tian Tian. It's easy to find and usually has a long queue. When we went near noon, the line was quite long, and we waited about 20 minutes.
💗There is also a crispy pork rice stall that we queued for. The food centre has around 50 stalls, mainly Chinese cuisine. There are 4-5 chicken rice stalls, all with long lines.
💗There are plenty of tables in the food centre, but it can get crowded. You can sit wherever there is space, but you might have to share a table with others.
💗As for taste, in our opinion, the food is delicious. The chicken rice might not be as tasty as Thai food, but compared to other Singaporean dishes, it’s good and reasonably priced. The crispy pork rice is tasty but a bit sweet. The fruit smoothies, in our opinion, are rather bland.
💗If you want to try authentic local Singaporean flavors, this is a great place to visit.
💗Prices start at 3 SGD.
📍How to get there: Chinatown MRT Station (DT20, NE4). After exiting the station, walk about 650 meters.
