🍜 Formosa Delights — Handmade Noodles and Cozy Taiwanese Dinner in Clementi

Went to Formosa Delights for dinner and it was exactly what I needed after a long day—comforting, flavourful, and super satisfying. The place is unpretentious and warm, with a casual, cozy vibe that makes you want to settle in and slurp noodles slowly.

I had the dry knife-shaved noodles with beef. The handmade noodles were spot on—chewy with just the right bite, and the sauce clung to every strand. The beef was tender, seasoned well, and came in generous slices. It’s the kind of dish you don’t want to rush through.

We also shared the you po mian, which was full of flavour—minced pork, crispy shallots, anchovies, chili oil, and a runny egg all mixed into springy noodles. Total flavour bomb. On the side, we had the pan-fried dumplings—crispy bottom, juicy pork filling, just what you want alongside noodles.

The place was busy but service was fast. It’s got that lived-in charm with lots of regulars—you can tell people come back often. Even though it’s simple and casual, everything tasted thoughtfully prepared and full of heart.

If you’re around Clementi and craving a no-fuss dinner that leaves you full and happy, Formosa Delights is a solid go-to.
