🇯🇵 [Kagawa Prefecture] Shikoku 88 Temples, 75th Temple, Gogakusan Tanjoin Zentsuji
The founding of Gogakusan Zentsuji is described in the "Tado-gun Byobuura Zentsuji no Ki" (written in the mid-Edo period) as a temple built by the Great Master, who returned from China, on land of four square blocks donated by his father, modeled after the Seiryu-ji Temple in Chang'an where his teacher, Eka, lived. The temple was first built on the first day of the 12th month of the lunar calendar in the 2nd year of Daido (807), and was completed on June 15th in the 4th year of Kōnin (813). It is written that the temple was named "Zentsūji" after his father's given name "Zentsū" (^^)
