If you’re planning a trip to Singapore and want to add full-on fun, we recommend Universal Studios Singapore or USS on Sentosa Island, a paradise for thrill ride lovers and Hollywood movie fans. Here, there are various rides with different excitement levels for kids, adults, and thrill-seekers alike—everyone can enjoy!

🎢 Quick tips to hit the popular rides fast

USS has a lot of rides, and if you’re visiting for just one day, you might get exhausted without a good plan. We suggest following this order to save queue time and cover all the top rides!

1. Revenge of the Mummy

An indoor roller coaster combining darkness, speed, and adventure movie-style lighting effects. Riding this feels like stepping into a movie—super exciting! We recommend playing this first because the line is usually long all day.

2. Transformers the Ride

A 3D simulator ride using glasses with thrilling action scenes, making you feel like part of the Transformers movie. You flow through the storyline of the battle between Autobots and Decepticons.

3. Battlestar Galactica: Human & Cyclone

A pair of roller coasters with two tracks to choose from:
• Human (red) is a high-speed sit-down coaster with intense dips and vibrations.
• Cyclone (blue) is an inverted coaster where you hang your legs, perfect for extreme thrill-seekers with high speed and aerial flips.

Both are favorites for thrill lovers but often have queues up to 60 minutes.

4. Jurassic Park Rapids Adventure

A rafting ride through the dinosaur world, super fun if you don’t mind getting wet! The atmosphere feels like you’re really in the Jurassic era, with moving dinosaurs all around. It’s both fun and thrilling.

5. Enchanted Airways

A kids’ ride, but we think it’s really fun! It’s a small mini roller coaster, great for those wanting a break from intense thrills. Don’t expect too much, but as we said, it’s genuinely fun 😆

6. Puss in Boots’ Giant Journey

The newest ride, perfect for families, blending the adorable adventure story of Puss in Boots. Suitable for all ages, offering both excitement and warmth.

7. WaterWorld Show

Don’t miss this spectacular show combining water, fire, explosions, and real stunts. The action scenes keep you on the edge of your seat. Definitely a must-see when you visit USS.

🕐 Queue times and number of rides

We visited on a Saturday in March 2024, which was quite busy. Most popular rides had wait times around 20-30 minutes. The longest was Cyclone, with nearly a 1-hour wait. Using an Express Pass can significantly reduce waiting times!

We managed about 10 rides without an Express Pass, which was very worthwhile, plus had time to stroll around and take photos.

🩵 Meet & Greet Characters

During breaks, we recommend meeting characters from famous movies like Minions, Shrek, Transformers, and more. It’s best to book your spot about 10-15 minutes before the scheduled time because arriving late might mean a long wait.

It’s a cute moment kids love, and adults can capture plenty of great photos.

USS operating hours vary by season and holidays. Check the latest times before your visit to plan well and not miss your favorite rides.

🚄 Getting to USS
• Take the MRT to Harbourfront station
• Walk up to the 3rd floor of VivoCity mall, the connection point to Sentosa Island
• Take the Sentosa Express monorail (separate ticket required) to Waterfront station
• From there, it’s a short walk to the USS entrance

The journey is convenient with clear signs.

• Theme park ticket starts at about 79 SGD (around 2,000 THB)
• Food and souvenirs, prepare about 30-50 SGD (900-1,500 THB)
• If you want to buy an Express Pass, add about 50-80 SGD to save queue time
