Swissotel room

Choosing a hotel in Singapore can be a headache, but after staying at Swissôtel The Stamford Singapore this time, I just want to recommend it to all my friends! No exaggeration, this is my top pick for "location lovers"—you can check in to top attractions just by going downstairs, saving even on taxi fares~
📍Location Perfection
The hotel is right opposite City Hall MRT station (just a 1-minute walk!), and across the street is Raffles City Shopping Mall. It’s a 15-minute walk to Merlion Park and only 20 minutes to Marina Bay Sands. In land-scarce Singapore, this location is unbeatable! The best part is the 71st-floor sky-high view—we stayed in a sea view room on the 46th floor, with floor-to-ceiling windows framing Marina Bay Sands, the ArtScience Museum, and the Singapore Flyer. At night, you can enjoy the full light show without the crowds.
🏨Living in the Clouds
The room was much more spacious than I expected, perfect for a family of three without feeling cramped. My favorite spot was the balcony where you can watch the sunrise—great for silhouette portraits (remember to wear a light-colored dress). The bedding was so comfortable I didn’t want to get up, though the soundproofing is average, so light sleepers should bring earplugs. The bathroom thoughtfully includes a baby bathtub, but the eco-friendly toothpaste paper pouch is a bit hard to squeeze...
✨Lazy-Friendly Amenities
• Sky Pool: Water temperature kept at a constant 28°C, with a dedicated kids’ area; mostly private after 4 PM
• 17th Floor Supermarket: Forgot sunscreen? Just go downstairs to buy it at convenience store prices
• Self Check-in Kiosk: Check-in done in 3 minutes, with Chinese instructions
🍴Nearby Food Guide
• Direct access from the hotel to Ya Kun Kaya Toast in Raffles City B1: Must-try kaya toast set (opens at 7:30 AM)
• 8-minute walk to Lau Pa Sat: For late-night snacks, try satay grilled meat at stall
• Hidden Gem: Afternoon tea at Equinox on the 71st floor, window seats must be booked 3 days in advance
💡Practical Tips
1. Room selection tip: Request a high floor facing Marina Bay (above 50th floor for an unobstructed view) in your email
2. Transport card: Buy an EZ-link card at the MRT station; children’s cards are half price and very cost-effective
3. Time-saving hack: Rush to Merlion before 9 AM to perfectly avoid tour groups
4. Laundry perk: Stay 3 nights or more and get 3 free ironing services
My biggest regret this trip was not experiencing the rooftop bar, which is said to have night views comparable to the movie "Crazy Rich Asians"! If your budget allows, I highly recommend upgrading to an executive room—the happy hour with crayfish and champagne is definitely worth it~
