🇸🇬 Genting Dream Cruise Food Guide | 4 Days 3 Nights Singapore–Phuket Route

Finally, we got to experience the Genting Dream Cruise!
This trip was a 4-day, 3-night itinerary from Singapore to Phuket.
Let’s start with our dining experience onboard!

🛳️ Boarding Process
According to the official website, check-in starts 3 hours before departure.
We arrived at the terminal around 11:15 a.m.
After security checks, we collected our room cards (balcony rooms have priority lanes, so it’s a bit faster).
The whole process took only about 30 minutes, and by 11:45 a.m. we were already in our cabin—much more efficient than expected! 👌

📌 Important Reminder:
You cannot bring your own drinks or cooked food.
But packaged snacks (like bread, instant noodles, or chips) are allowed.

🍽️ Free Dining Options
There are 5 complimentary restaurants on board.
Note: At each mealtime, you can only choose one of them.
If you try to dine at multiple restaurants during the same meal, you’ll be charged 10–15 SGD per person.

1️⃣ Dream Dining Room (Lower Deck – Chinese Set Meals)
Highly recommended! Each meal includes 6 dishes + rice + dessert.
The Chinese cuisine really suited our taste, and the dishes change daily.
This became our go-to spot and the place we ate at the most. ❤️

2️⃣ Dream Dining Room (Upper Deck – Semi-Western Buffet)
A mix of Chinese and Western buffet-style dishes.
Perfect for families who want more variety at one meal.

3️⃣ The Lido (International Buffet)
Mainly Western-style food with plenty of options.
The dining area is spacious and comfortable.

4️⃣ The Pavilion (International & Halal Buffet)
Leans towards Indonesian flavors—quite unique.
The food was flavorful, but the environment felt a bit simpler.

5️⃣ The World Grill (Western Buffet)
Best views on the ship! Seating is limited, so you may need to line up.
Dining time is restricted to 1 hour, making it ideal if you want to enjoy ocean views while eating.
It’s close to the Observation Deck—great for relaxing after your meal.

💡 Tips:
On the first day, lunch service only runs until 1:30 p.m.—so head straight to the restaurant after boarding.
Daily menus are available on the info website.
Once onboard, just scan the QR code by the elevators to access all dining information.

🍷 Specialty (Paid) Restaurants
There are about 9 specialty restaurants, covering Chinese, Western, Japanese, and hotpot.
You can check their opening hours online and make reservations in advance.

We tried the outdoor hotpot on Deck 8.
Highly recommend choosing a table at the very back of the ship—the view is incredible! 👍
No lifeboats blocking the sight, so you can enjoy hotpot while watching the ocean.
We even spotted dolphins! 🐬🌊

They offer several set menus (including soup bases).
For two people, we spent 120 SGD (including drinks).
The flavors were good, and the overall experience felt really special.
