🇸🇬🇲🇾Ultimate Guide to the Singapore–Malacca–Genting Dream (3D2N)

This was my second cruise trip (the first one was with Royal Caribbean, six years ago!) and I just have to share some tips most people don’t know!

Boarding time matters ⏳ – My boarding time was 3:20 PM, but I highly recommend going earlier to line up. Otherwise, the queue will feel endless and actually delay your boarding.

Birthday surprise 🎂 – If your actual birthday falls on one of the cruise days, you’ll receive a mysterious card in your room telling you where to pick up a complimentary cake.

Food & late-night snacks 🍜 – Your ticket covers three meals + tea breaks (breakfast, lunch, dinner, and tea). But there’s no midnight supper! If you’re an adult, you can apply for a DC membership card to get free instant noodles around 11 PM. Even without the card, you can still head to the DC for free drinks like Milo and coffee from the machine.

Secret Jacuzzi spot 🛁 – The four Jacuzzis on Deck 16 are always crowded. Instead, head up to Deck 17 near the outdoor cinema—there are two Jacuzzis there with a high chance you’ll get them all to yourself, plus amazing sea views.

Maximize pool time 🏊 – If you board early and want to enjoy the water facilities, check into your room, change into swimwear immediately, and go straight to the pool/Jacuzzi/slides. At that time, it’s almost empty!

Don’t miss the sunrise 🌅 – On a clear day, the sunrise is breathtaking. You can check the daily weather forecast in the Cruise Newsletter.

Skip the Western restaurant 🍴 – The one on Deck 7 is really not worth it. Stick to the other free dining options instead.

If you want a chill, worry-free trip, this cruise is a great choice—especially if you book it at a promotional price.
