Singapore's "Century Legend" Raffles Hotel: Truly Captivating!

Last month, I finally got the chance to stay at Singapore's Raffles Hotel. The moment I checked in, I felt the understated luxury of the century-old South Asian old-money style 😭
From the colonial-style architecture to the perfectly warm and personable service, the hotel exudes a sense of historical significance. The phrase "true luxury is a century of tradition" fits this place perfectly!
What sets it apart from other luxury hotels is definitely the doorman culture! They must be of Indian nationality with over 20 years of experience, and they wear colonial-era uniforms. It might seem a bit old-fashioned, but it encapsulates the essence of aristocratic life from the past ✨
The room was amazing too! The soundproofing was perfect, though due to its age, the floors might creak a little even after renovations. Personally, it didn’t affect the comfort of my stay at all.
By the way, if you stay in a ground-floor room, you might need to be a bit mindful of privacy. Breakfast was abundant, and the surrounding area is convenient for shopping, making it ideal for sightseeing 🛍️
Raffles Hotel has officially made it onto my list of favorite hotels! If you’re visiting Singapore, it’s an absolute must-see!
