📍 Long Bar, Singapore Review

I visited Long Bar in the Raffles Hotel in Singapore. 🍹 I had high expectations because it's a place with a long and vivid history, and upon actually visiting, I found it to be a space that perfectly embodies the phrase "harmony of tradition and tourism."

The first thing that catches your eye is the interior. It feels like a modern reinterpretation of the Malay plantation style of the 1920s and 1930s. The rattan furniture, bamboo patterns, wood panels, and partitions create a classic yet comfortable atmosphere. 

One of the fun traditional elements is the custom of discarding peanut bags and shells from the table on the floor. The floor was covered in peanut shells, so the "you can throw your trash here" rule was refreshing. 

Of course, my drink was the Singapore Sling. They take pride in making the original here, and you can even watch the bartenders shake multiple drinks simultaneously. The taste was sweet and fruity, and the alcohol wasn't overpowering, so it wasn't overwhelming. However, many reviews noted the price was quite high.

The service was generally classy and clean. The bar staff struck a good balance between tradition and modernity, and the customer flow was relatively stable. However, there can be quite a queue during peak hours, so it's best to arrive early.

There are a few downsides:
• Drink prices are often criticized as being prohibitively expensive.
• Some reviews also noted that the alcohol content in the drinks was weak.
• Because the original is more of a recreation of a legendary venue, some critics say it's not entirely original.

👉 Overall, Long Bar is a place that truly embodies its history and its title as "Singapore's Iconic Bar You Must Experience." It's quite expensive for a single drink, but if you value the experience of feeling the atmosphere, story, and tradition all together, it's worth recommending.
