Flights and hotels were too expensive, so we chose to sail instead! 🚢
Luckily, we found the Genting Dream Cruise. My kid loves it—everything is included, and there are plenty of children to play with.
🚢 Genting Dream Cruise
Launched in 2016, weighing 150,695 tons and carrying 3,352 passengers.
🍽 Dining
Many free restaurants such as the two-level Dream Dining Room, Lido Buffet, Blue Lagoon, and Crystal Life Café. I usually check the menu first since it changes every meal. Self-serve tea and coffee are available anytime.
🛏️ Cabin
We stayed in a 20m² balcony stateroom, spacious enough for two adults and one child. Most of the time we were out enjoying the ship, so it felt just right.
🏊♀️ Activities
Plenty of fun, mostly free. Six water slides, pools, jacuzzis, a 35-meter zipline, and a climbing wall. The open-air Starry Movie Theater plays films at night with Chinese subtitles. Kids can join free childcare for two hours daily.
🎭 Entertainment
The 999-seat Zodiac Theater hosts nightly shows. The “Crew Talent Show,” performed by the staff, is especially funny and worth watching.
🎵 Bars & Nightlife
The three-level 360° Bar offers drinks and live Mandarin music. Zouk Nightclub is great for dancing and socializing.
🚶♀️ Ports of Call
🇲🇾 Kuala Lumpur: Docked at Port Klang, about an hour’s drive to the city.
🇲🇾 Penang: Perfect location by the old town, just a short walk to attractions.
