Baan Prapai is an old house that has been renovated and redecorated in an ancient Chinese style, blending the essence of an old Songkhla home into a gallery, cafe, and antique Chinese collectibles. For photography enthusiasts, this angle is beautiful, that angle is chic, and the retro vibe is stunning!

The morning and evening light is perfect for a relaxing stroll. Admire the vases, plates, birdcages, Chinese lanterns, Benjarong jars, and various antiques meticulously arranged to fit the atmosphere of this ancient Chinese house in Songkhla's Old Town.

✨ Highlights & Must-See Highlights
• Antique Chinese Decor: Decorated with vases, Benjarong, antique plates, bowls, and Chinese collectibles. It gives off a nostalgic Chinese feel – a beautiful Chinese house!
• Plenty of photogenic spots: Filled with “mini-Chinese houses” that allow you to endlessly experiment with camera angles – Chinese lanterns, hanging lights, vases, and natural lighting. The atmosphere is worth hours of leisurely strolling.
• Backstory / Intention: The name “Prapai” comes from the wife of the previous owner, Khun Krachang Charupruekphan. The house was built as a memorial to their love and to preserve the cultural value of the old city for future generations.
• Opening Hours: Daily from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM.
• It’s not a full-fledged restaurant – but there are light drinks and snacks to take a break from browsing the antiques.

🌤 Her Experience

That day, we walked into a small alley in the old city. The faint sound of passing traffic, the calming scent of the air, and the gentle breeze of the heart. As we entered Prapai House – the small door opened, greeted by brightly colored Chinese lanterns, and sunlight filtered through the windows. The shadows of tree branches and the house structure cast on the ground — she stopped walking, stood, and took photos, looking at the rows of antique vases and Benjarong plates, combined with the light and shadows at various angles, making us forget about time.

Sometimes, people came to browse, take photos, or chat quietly. A staff member explained the antiques to us, asking where we were from and jokingly saying, "Come in the evening for the beautiful light." It felt like friends recommending each other, walking around corner by corner.

We reached the highlight — Chinese lanterns, hanging from the ceiling and balcony, their shadows cast on the ground — and snapped away with a sense of "being in China in an old Thai city," not fake, but the spirit of the house that's treasured.
