A review of my time at Songshan Cultural and Creative Park, a hidden hot spot in Taiwan's design mecca.

During my trip to Taiwan, I visited the **Taiwan Design Research Institute (TDRI)**. ✨

This place hosts exhibitions, workshops, and various design-related programs, allowing me to experience Taiwan's contemporary design sensibilities and trends firsthand.

✅ Location: Located in the Songshan Cultural and Creative Park in Taipei.

The nearest MRT stations are Sun Yat-Sen Memorial Hall Station (國父紀念館站) and City Hall Station (市政府站). They're both about a 10-minute walk away, making them easily accessible.

★ Highlights

The exhibitions change frequently, but when I visited, they featured works related to lifestyle design, which was fascinating.

Admission is free or charged depending on the exhibition, but many of the exhibits are free, making it easy to visit without feeling overwhelmed.

The building is clean and the space is spacious, making it a great place to take photos while exploring. 📸

The information desk offered English and Chinese materials, making it easy for foreigners to understand.

★Atmosphere

The atmosphere was more relaxed, with more locals, students, and designers than tourists.

Some families with children were there, and I recommend this for families, especially if you're visiting an exhibition with hands-on content.

Beyond the exhibition itself, there are cafes, bookstores, and souvenir shops nearby, making it a great place to stop by while taking a stroll.

★Tip

The exhibition schedule changes frequently, so we recommend checking the official website or social media before your visit.

Songshan Cultural and Creative Park itself is a cultural complex with many attractions, so a half-day or 2-3 hour tour is ideal.

Visit in the morning to enjoy a more pleasant experience before the crowds.

Since it's located within the Songshan Cultural and Creative Park (松山文創園區), you can enjoy not only the center but also the surrounding cultural spaces.

Some areas are currently undergoing renovations and construction, so access may be slightly restricted. ㅠ.

Nearby are Universal Hankyu Department Store, CityLink, and Breeze Shopping Mall, making it convenient for lunch, dinner, and shopping.

Admission was 100 TWD. Students also get a discount, so be sure to bring your international student ID!

It was a fun time viewing the works of Taiwanese creative artists and reading art books to your heart's content.
