It's recommended to enter the Grand Canyon from the South Gate's Natural Bridge!!

📍Navigate to the South Gate of Tongren Grand Canyon, where you'll see a rather desolate parking lot—just drive down from there.
⛰️The area isn't crowded overall, offering a great experience. The boat ride on the emerald-green river with cool breezes gives a poetic feeling of "green mountains parting as the light boat passes through endless peaks."
🌟The hike isn't too strenuous, totaling about 16,000 steps. With kids in tow, including stops for photos, rest, and sheltering from rain, it took us roughly 4+ hours.
🌈Unfortunately, the weather was just okay—no double rainbow sighting. Skip the grilled crab at the snack shop, but the grilled shrimp is worth a try!
‼️The boat operator mentioned there hasn't been much rain lately, so the waterfalls aren’t very full. However, during the rainy season, the river turns muddy instead of staying this green.
🏘️Accommodation: HanTing Hotel opposite Zhongnan Ancient Town. 💰230 (prices seemed similar nearby, so we opted for the chain hotel for peace of mind).
‼️Breakfast isn’t included, but signing up for the 49.9 membership gets you 4 free breakfasts (though no one checked). The hotel’s 2nd floor offers laundry/drying services.
🍛Dinner: Qian Shan Ye. 13 people spent 💰410 (including a ¥180 sour soup beef dish). The flavors were good, some dishes weren’t too spicy, and prices were reasonable.
After dinner, we strolled along the riverside ancient town—felt like every other ancient town, so we just wandered until tired and headed back.
