Soni Highland (Soni Kogen) is a vast field of silver grass located in Soni Village, Uda District, Nara Prefecture. Stretching from the western slopes of Mount Kuruso (elevation 1038m) and Mount Kame (elevation 849m) down to the base, it is renowned for its breathtaking scenery, especially in autumn when the silver grass turns a radiant golden hue.

For access, driving is highly recommended as the nearest bus stop is a bit far.

The best viewing period is typically from early October to late November each year. November, in particular, offers the most stunning golden silver grass views☝🏻⭐️
