On this trip to Jakarta, Indonesia, I chose to stay at The Westin Jakarta. The hotel's biggest highlight is its towering 304-meter building, with guest rooms located above the 50th floor, making it the tallest hotel in Jakarta. Almost all room types offer magnificent views overlooking the entire city. Coupled with Westin’s consistently high standard of service, this stay was very satisfying.

The hotel is located in the Kuningan business district, surrounded by many office buildings and upscale shopping centers. It’s about a 15-20 minute drive to well-known malls like Grand Indonesia and Plaza Indonesia, making it convenient for both business and leisure travelers.

The lobby is on the 52nd floor, and upon entering, you immediately feel the spaciousness brought by the high ceilings. The floor-to-ceiling windows showcase the city skyline, giving a sense of being in a world of its own. The front desk staff are very friendly, and check-in is efficient, allowing guests to fully relax as soon as they arrive.

Room Experience: Stunning Views from the High Floors

The room I stayed in was spacious and modernly designed, featuring warm tones combined with wooden elements, presenting a subtle luxury feel.
• View: Since all guest rooms are above the 50th floor, the floor-to-ceiling windows offer panoramic views of Jakarta city. Especially during sunset and nighttime, the city lights sparkle, creating a spectacular sight.
• Bed: Westin’s signature Heavenly Bed is incredibly comfortable, with a mattress that’s just the right firmness, paired with high-quality pillows and bedding, ensuring a perfect night’s sleep.
• Bathroom: The dry and wet areas are separated, and there is a standalone bathtub where you can soak while enjoying the night view, providing a deeply relaxing experience. The amenities are from the White Tea Aloe series, with a fresh scent that perfectly matches Westin’s natural and tranquil brand style.
• Workspace: The room includes a marble desk and an ergonomic chair, with ample power outlets and USB charging ports, making it very business traveler-friendly.

Breakfast Experience: A Rich and Diverse International Buffet

Breakfast is served at the Seasonal Tastes restaurant on the 51st floor, which also offers excellent city views. The buffet selection is very abundant, blending Indonesian, Asian, and Western cuisines. Here are some highly recommended dishes:
• Indonesian flavors: Nasi Goreng (Indonesian fried rice), Soto Ayam (chicken soup), Satay (grilled skewers), all authentic in taste. The satay with peanut sauce is especially delicious.
• Made-to-order noodle station: You can choose different broths and toppings. The Indonesian-style Laksa noodle soup is highly recommended, with a rich broth and a hint of coconut milk aroma.
• Western options: Made-to-order omelets, smoked salmon, cheese platters, handmade bread, etc. The croissants are perfectly crispy and paired with a freshly brewed coffee, making for a perfect breakfast combo.

The breakfast restaurant has spacious seating, and the staff quickly replenish the food, making the overall experience very pleasant.

Hotel Facilities: Sky Pool & Westin Workout Gym
• Infinity Pool (Sky Pool): Located on a high floor, it’s not very large but allows you to swim while enjoying Jakarta’s skyline, especially enchanting at dusk.
• Gym (Westin Workout): Well-equipped with treadmills, weight training equipment, yoga mats, and more, it’s a great bonus for guests who enjoy working out.

Additionally, the hotel offers the Heavenly Spa, where you can book massages or treatments to relax your body and mind during a busy itinerary.
