Štrbské Pleso in the High Tatras

Taking the mountain train to Štrbské Pleso is a popular route in the High Tatras, and the train is often filled with hikers.

The High Tatras offer numerous hiking trails, and we chose to take a leisurely walk around Štrbské Pleso, a loop of about 2.5 km. The flat trail is easy and enjoyable to walk.

Situated at an altitude of 1,346 meters, the lake is surrounded by the peaks of the Tatras, creating a stunning landscape. Unfortunately, the thick cloud cover made the walk comfortable but prevented the lake from displaying its most beautiful blue hue as expected.
