⛩ [Nagano, Zenkoji Temple] A non-sectarian place of prayer that you should visit at least once. A soul-cleansing experience as you pass through the darkness
Nagano's Zenkoji Temple, which boasts a history of about 1,400 years, is a non-sectarian temple that accepts all sects. Many worshippers are attracted to its teaching that everyone can be saved equally.
As soon as you step into the main hall, you are enveloped in the scent of incense and silence, and time begins to flow slowly. The "Okaidan Meguri" is a sacred experience in which you grope your way through a pitch-black corridor, searching for the lock of paradise. Every moment is a precious time to face yourself.
