Suzhou No. 92 Garden: Former Site of the South Society Communications Office
The Former Site of the South Society Communications Office, Shou'en Hall, was originally the private residence of the Zhou family. It was built in the 40th year of the Kangxi period (1701) and took 10 years to complete. The Zhou residence has five bays and six courtyards, with a gate hall, sedan hall, and main hall. The fourth and fifth courtyards are the Matang Building. In 1909, Liu Yazi and others founded the South Society, and Shou'en Hall became the South Society Communications Office.
