A Real Review of a Homestay on Xishan Island, Suzhou: Stunning Lake Views That Blew Me Away!

My bestie and I found a treasure on Xishan Island in Suzhou! This pure white villa by Taihu Lake is like the dream house I've always wanted 🌊. It has an outdoor swimming pool and a KTV, and you can even bring your dog! The five of us girls spent less than CNY 200 per person to rent the entire villa (psst, this price wouldn't even get you a budget hotel in Shanghai, sob sob).

[About the Room Types] Here's a summary for everyone 👇
1️⃣ 1 Bedroom, 2 Beds 👉 Perfect for a romantic getaway
2️⃣ 2 Bedrooms, 2 Beds 👉 Just right for a family with two kids
3️⃣ 3 Bedrooms, 6 Beds 👉 Three families can hang out without fighting
4️⃣ 6 Bedrooms, 9 Beds 👉 Each member of your team-building group gets a window
5️⃣ 9 Bedrooms, 16 Beds 👉 Super impressive for wedding guests
6️⃣ 18 Bedrooms, 50 Beds 👉 Big enough for a company's annual meeting
7️⃣ 30 Bedrooms, 100 Beds 👉 Is this even real? It's like a dream resort!

We unlocked N ways to have fun that day 🎉
▫️ Arrived at 3pm and headed straight to the rooftop terrace! The 270° lake view and floating afternoon tea made for Insta-worthy photos 📸
▫️ At sunset, we set up the grill by the pool. The butler even prepared sparklers 🎇. Eating juicy lamb chops while watching the sunset over Taihu Lake was the best!
▫️ At night, we had to start party mode 🎤. The basement has a professional KTV and a Switch game room. Special shoutout to the mahjong room, which even has an automatic mahjong table! (No more shuffling tiles myself, haha!)
▫️ The next day, we woke up naturally and picked fresh vegetables in the garden 🥬. The open kitchen even has an air fryer! My bestie's Basque cheesecake was legendary 🍰.

After checking in, I realized the villa's design was super thoughtful 💡
✅ Each room has a private bathroom + smart toilet
✅ The pet room has pee pads and food bowls
✅ Free electric car rentals make it easy to get around the lake
✅ Underfloor heating + central air conditioning means you won't be cold in winter
✅ There's even a 24-hour fresh coffee machine ☕

I've also scouted out the nearby attractions for everyone 🚴♀️
✔️ Walk 5 minutes to Mingyue Bay Ancient Wharf to see the tangerine sea at sunset
✔️ Ride 15 minutes to Shigong Mountain, the filming location of "All is Well"
✔️ Drive 8 minutes to Linwu Cave to see the ancient stalactites
✔️ Remember to buy Xishan Island's specialty loquat honey and Biluochun tea on the way back!
