5.8 Back from Suzhou, let me share some harsh truths...

We arrived at Panmen Scenic Area on a hot summer afternoon, the stone walls of the ancient city gate radiating warmth under the bright sun ๐๐ฏ๐ถ. The water in the moat moved slow and dark, shaded by willows that hung heavy with green. Cicadas buzzed loud and constant, their song weaving through the stillness like a reminder of the heat ๐ฟ๐ถ๐ชท.
We walked the garden paths, where the air was thick with the scent of lotus blooms and damp earth ๐ธ๐๐ง. The old pavilions offered pockets of shade, and the Wumen Bridge arched quietly over the canal, its stones worn and cool underfoot. By the time evening approached, the light softened, and a breeze stirred the water just enough to ripple the reflections. In summer, Panmen felt timeless a meeting of stone, water, and history, holding steady in the haze of the season ๐ฐ๏ธ๐ถโ๏ธ๐.
