Suzhou Panmen Scenic Area Autumn Photo Check-in Guide.

Visiting Suzhou in late autumn, I would really be upset if I didn’t go to Panmen Scenic Area😭! Here you can not only capture stunning shots of the ancient pagoda alongside the cityscape but also feel the charm of the 2,500-year-old ancient city wall~

📍Panmen Scenic Area Address: No. 49 East Street, Gusu District, Suzhou
🕰️Opening Hours: 8:30 AM - 9:00 PM (last entry at 9:00 PM)
🎫Ticket Price: 36 RMB

📸Photo Check-in Guide:
1️⃣ Upward shot under Ruiguang Pagoda
The five-story red ancient pagoda is incredibly photogenic! The best spot is at a 45-degree angle to the southwest corner of the pagoda base, perfectly capturing the exquisite curves of the pagoda. On cloudy or hazy days, you can create an ancient artistic atmosphere, while on sunny days, the sunlight filtering through produces beautiful light and shadow effects~

2️⃣ Ancient pagoda and modern buildings in one frame
Walk to the city moat and look back to capture Ruiguang Pagoda with the distant Gate of the Orient and IFC building, creating a wonderful contrast between ancient and modern! It’s recommended to use your phone’s telephoto function to compress the city skyline into the frame with the ancient pagoda.

3️⃣ Maple leaf path along the ancient city wall
Starting from late October, the maple leaf path inside the scenic area turns bright red! The blue-gray ancient city wall paired with red maple leaves makes every shot look like a masterpiece.

4️⃣ Water and land city gate at sunset
Around 5 PM, the setting sun bathes the ancient Panmen Gate in a golden glow. Don’t miss the reflections in the moat here.

💡Useful Tips:
- Fewer people after 3 PM, and the lighting is best for photos
- The scenic area is not very large; 2 hours is enough to explore and take photos
- There are many small tea houses nearby, but prices are relatively high, so bringing your own water is recommended
- Wearing light-colored clothes makes photos stand out more
- Tripods require registration to be brought in

When you come to Suzhou, be sure to bring your camera. Panmen is definitely the best check-in spot this autumn!
