I finally found this super cool hotel in Suzhou

✅ Soundproofing/Hygiene:
The hotel boasts excellent soundproofing, effectively blocking outside noise to create a tranquil resting environment. The blackout curtains also perform well, ensuring quality sleep. Hygiene standards are high, with all facilities well-maintained, offering a clean and comfortable stay.

🏘️ Room Types/Layout:
The rooms feature a private entrance design, each with front and back courtyards and an outdoor private hot spring, emphasizing exclusivity and privacy. The indoor space is thoughtfully arranged for convenience. However, the hotel shares some areas, including parking, with the Angsana Hotel, making the Banyan Tree Lion Mountain's own space relatively compact, with narrow roads and limited public and outdoor areas. Fortunately, nearby attractions like Lion Mountain, Lion Mountain Cultural Plaza, Lion Mountain Grand Theatre, and the West Branch of Suzhou Museum are great for leisure visits.

🛌 Amenities/Facilities:
As a new hotel, it offers state-of-the-art hardware, with advanced in-room and outdoor features, mostly smart-operated. The fittings are well-maintained, and the AC operates quietly at the lowest setting, with vents positioned away from the bed to avoid drafts. The beds are exceptionally comfortable, complemented by Banyan Tree's signature essential oils and incense for a cozy ambiance. However, the water temperature at night is slightly low, making it hard to enjoy a hot bath, though it returns to normal by morning.

💗 Additional Tips:

- Service: The front desk, concierge, housekeeping, and restaurant staff are warm and proactive, greeting guests and offering assistance. For unmet requests like swimming or transportation, they follow up promptly. The welcome sachet, bedtime turtle, and farewell lion gift are delightful touches.
- Dining: The Baiyun Chinese Restaurant specializes in Cantonese and Huaiyang cuisine. Dinner options are varied but lack standout dishes, and the restaurant has a slight grease odor. Breakfast is better, with self-serve cold dishes and bread, plus à la carte hot dishes including Suzhou-style dim sum, Cantonese breakfast, and Western brunch—all tasty.
- During peak seasons like summer, check-in might be delayed until 5 PM, so early communication is advised.
- The gym was once flooded due to heavy rain; guests can use the shared gym at Angsana Hotel instead—confirm availability before your trip.
- Private hot spring suites may be less enjoyable in hot summer weather.
- Occasional delays in mineral water restocking after weddings have been reported, so plan accordingly.
